Agathians Shelter

Address : No. 17, Jalan Tengas 8/8, Seksyen 8, 46050 Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

Person in Charge : Mr. Siva

Agathians Shelter is a Welfare Home for boys that was founded in 2003 by a team of young adults. It was set up as “A Spark To Change The Future“ for a group of children who were being turned out to the street.

These children are orphans, of single parent, are abandoned or neglected. This Home is established to provide a home and a new start in life for them and to provide a proper childhood which features safety, freedom, discipline and love for these children. A life where they will be taken care of instead of having to fight for survival. Currently this Home houses around 30 Indian boys.

This Home has been with us for several years now, and they’re actively taking in interns for the time being. We are also conducting activities at the Agathians every fortnightly.

Assunta Children’s Society (ACS), a day-centre for poor, abandoned and underprivileged children. Tucked in a quiet section of Oldtown, Petaling Jaya, this place offers children of poor families and single-parents a safe, quiet environment to study, do their homework and prepare for school.

They are currently involved in our activities section only. Fund raising activities might be done in collaboration with the Young Visionaries team. They also need volunteers every end of the month to help out in their fund raising events.

Besides that, they are sourcing for Sociel Science graduates to work at the centre.
